Stupid question about axles

Is the axle suppose to move back and forth in the outer cv?

hey Dwayne, what's the problem? I beleive yes the axle will move, it plunges in/out with the up and down travel. There is some good info here that maybe help you.

I am not sure if I understand the question completely..... Maybe you can tell us your exact problem.

As the suspension cycles up and down the CV will allow for the angle...... As far as I know if I understand your question..... it should not move in and out only up and down.

I fixed the problem, The clips in the outer cv was not speading apart to hold the axle in. I replaced the clips and once I got the clips started then I smacked them hard to get the clips to set. It only took me 4 times on the rear axles to get it right. What a pain in the ass it was.

My bad, just realized you were talking about the outer CV, the plunge is in the inner. Glad you found and fixed your problem though.

What LT kit did you go with?
