I would rather the weakest link be the cheapest and easiest to fix on the trail. You can find stock tie-rods for about $10 a piece on ebay and they only take a few minutes to swap out. The HD tie-rods I was running took out my rack and bent a spindle.

Wow, those are some inclusive kits... I don't carry much. usually a cooler full of beverages, a tire repair kit, a flashlight, and what ever else I think of. Im an RN/EMT so I carry a kit with my basic life preserving essentials, incase one of my friends piles it up...

Good thing you went back to stock, I would never suggest running HD tie-rods with a stock rack. Srry you learned that the hard way.

What did you run into?

Big Ass Whoops at speed just after midnight.......

I won them in a raffle 3 years ago when there were only a couple diff LT kits on the market. Pretty sure they were the first HD tie-rods being made and Gearone hadnt come out with a rack yet or anyone else for that matter - Back when everyone ran a CVT filter

I've carried a spare tie-rod and a few ends in my tool box for a while now

I've even had to " loan " it out twice so somebody else could get thier rhino back to camp

But .... Nobody has mentioned that you also have to carry ALL the wrenches to change it out on the trail / It's good pratice to see if you can do it at home with only the tools in your tool box on the Rhino ..........

Did anyone say " Fuel Filter " too for the tool box ????
