The damn is easy to get to. look at my link
from the 138 just before you start going up the hill to Silverwood you will see the 173 it only goes to the right. take that 2.1/4 miles turn right at the street just past the spillway. Not the service road for the damn worker stuff but the road marked with the big brown OHV sign.
No pass needed at the damn
and it's 20 minutes closer
