Got Home Today From River

Well can you say HOTTTTTT! 124 yesterday in Parker. Thank god for AC/water! Had a blast though! Also I think I'll never go back to Vegas again. Vegas is 1. expensive. 2. there use to be a bad part of town and now it seems the bad part is the town. 3 it's dirty. 4. every single street including the freeway is torn up and down to 1 lane. Thursday night at 10pm was 110! Even though the river was hotter it seemed that Vegas stayed hotter at night? Maybe just me but I'll take Laughlin or Reno any day. Now Comments..................

glad you had a good time at the river... we went to Laughlin one time in late October... it was 110 during the day 95 at night....there is a reason why only one time. we like the mountains and the ocean better

You know thats what I was thinking but it wasn't bad at Parker as long as you know where to go and hang by the water. It has been 25 years since I was down that way other than races (which was in cooler months) And even that was in May but I have been in Laughlin for bachalor partys in July on the river and it was 122. It seemed way worse then. Maybe my brain is loseing some cells now? But it was a good time. Next time I'm renting a house that is walking distance to the water and it's cheaper than a hotel.

I wont do Vegas for the same reasons and many more, Laughlin is my place to go no doubt. Srry to hear it was so hot; just last week was prob 20 degree cooler in Laughlin and was great.

But you had a good time and thats what matters, glad you got back safe.

man, you guys have the opposite problem as us. We cant get a day that is warm enough to ride without it raining. It is 55 out right now (middle of the night) and during the day we are lucky to see 75. It has rained every day in july so far. This summer sucks for us. Its ok for riding but I still have not gotten my boat out of storage... WTF!!

I read that you are going at the end of the month. Monsoon time I think? We had a monsoon come in on Friday and the temp droped 10 degrees in 5 min. and got way windy.

I have a 24 foot pontoon boat with a 40 hp johnson. It works great for the family. We go out on the lake and camp on the islands all the time. The pontoon has all the room we need to get the family and all our gear out there in one trip. I just sold an 18 foot cobia with a 165hp inboard. Great boat but I like the room of the pontoon. Unfortunately we have not been able to use it yet this summer since it has rained since april. We had a couple nice days in may but all of july has rained accept maybe 2-3 days... another summer like this and I will be moving out to the south west.....
