Without a clutch kit the engine whines with the increased RPM range because clutching is not set up to handle it with a CDI. Installing a clutch kit prior to CDI is really necessary to handle the increased RPM range.

I would not agree with the statement. The clutching will have no affect before or after CDI and additional RPM. Reason why is the belt is already fully shifted out before the old rev limiter and the reason you go faster is more rpm not clutching.

Clutch shoes

Need Help has anybody change clutch shoes? Mine seen to be slipping. The reason i think it's the shoes is because my rhino rev high and only going 35mph,so i change the belt put new weights and new secondary spring to orange, everything new and still have the same Problem. Then I opened the Clutch housing and inside is oil all over the shoes. I dont think oil is supposed to be in the clutch shoes housing ? or is it. In the Manual it doesn't say drain the oil First. Does anybody Know. ThanksPlease help

Yes thats True i don't know what the hell i was Thinking. (Wet clutch) I took the clutch housing off and look at the clutch it still has teeth on it , so i think i know what i did wrong was I was topping my oil off and i mixed it with a different one. I think i mixed mineral oil 10/40 with synthetic blend oil 10/40 . Well im going to drain it and try it again.
Sorry for the Dumb Question.

There isn't such a thing as a dumb question...... Well when it come to learning what does what and how IMO make sure you use a oil that is set up for a wet clutch app. I see that you said you put new weights in, make sure that they are in the sheave correct. I have heard of them falling out which has affected the mph !!!! Good luck
