Cutting out on Silverwood ride

Well I left early after the helicopter took off after helping Bruce get his Rhino going and helping get Rick (the guy with 2 quads to ride back at once) ( he did get hooked up with Darryl) ect. As anyone behind me could not have missed the backfiring/loss of power/big time missing the engine was doing before all the other stuff. I thought maybe jetting but no I live at 4200' and we were not that high. Besides when I got home I rode the Rhino and it still ran like crap. So jetting was not it. I parked it and messed with it the next day after work. Took off the engine cover, unplugged the green wire with the white stripe ( although I don't remember seeing the reverse light coming on) plugged it back in, started it up and it ran great. Today I messed with some jetting and had it hitting 59 mph. What i'm worried about is do you think it could have been the reverse switch wire or is it a intermitant problem? When I was at Silverwood I could only go max of 18 mph and that was feathering the throttle or it would be worse. Any other ideas to check?

Oh I guess I should say whats been done to it. All stock 660, stock exhaust, hard mount K&N in the air box with the lid on and raise tube, rejetted, Dynatek CDI, UTV OD weights. It runs great now but I'm hoping to not miss out on any riding or breaking down at the worst time. It has the high flow fuel pump also. relocated the fuel filter under the seat and the filter is new as well.

That probably is the fix. I found out that my fuel filter was bad on mine. Replaced it and it runs good again. Also I had a roller that popped out and was sitting sideways in my sheave. Fixed that and all is back to normal now.

Yep. My rhino died about 2 miles from camp and I had to get towed back.

I carry spare Rhino Fuel filters in my Polaris because every trip someones get plugged, I run a fuel filter on my vent tube to keep the crap out of my tank, maybe that might work for the Rhino's.

I don't know the fuel hose vents inside of the cage behind the pass. seat and has an anti tip over valve in line as well.
