Cool Re the rugged radios intercom

we went to the Sand Show and got the Rugged Radios 4 person intercom and push to talk wires that plug into our headphones for our talkabout radios so we can Rhino to Rhino.... eventually we will get the good radios...
this morning my husband got some time to do the install ~ into my CTVCRAP gauge cluster/cup holder!!! I can't wait! The IPOD music mutes when you talk~ I am thinking that could be a problem with my little chatterbox on board!!! We are going riding somewhere next Saturday so we can try them out!!! I think Barstow will be too hot but my bro really enjoys riding out there~~ so we will be checking out weather reports!!!!

I just got done installing both my 3 person intercomm setup, and RCRAIN's complete 3 person setup. Both have car 2 car too. We went for a little ride out in the hills by my house and got everything dialed in. I had the ipod goin on, got the squelch adjusted, and got to talk car 2 car, and what can I say....these setups ROCK!!! Thanks Rugged!!!!!!!

I know it's nice
1- I run solo 90% of the time. So intercom is 90% useless.

2- I have 3k worth of mods I would like to do and only 10% of the money to do them.

I understand about the $$$ thing...
I always have to decide where to spend my extra change.

as for the intercom, even riding solo - it sure is nice to have the mp3 player playing instead of just listening to the exhaust. Last trip out, on the 3rd day, my mp3 battery died, and its sucked not having music after getting used to it.
and being able to talk car to car is a blast.

You guys are killing me with the Radios! That is diffinintely my next purchase. I already have the SSV stereo system so I'm going to start with the car to car which I think is about $400.00

So I've got it all figured out!

Recycle-50 cents a pound x 24 cans in a pound = 19,200 beers and the system is mine.

nice, way to plan it out -
we had talked about putting a stereo in the rhino, but I didn't want to have to blast music all the time to hear over then engine/exhaust - the headsets is a much better option IMHO, I don't suffer headaches from having to crank the stereo up to mach 10 to hear it.

or stop drinking beer and 19,200 beers = radio + intercomm + 5 house payment + change left over for gas
