Summer Engine Mods

over the past 2 years I have bolted on every performance Mod there is to buy for the Polaris 700 twin motor.

I have bored the Throttle Body, fuel controller, installed a cam, Full exhaust, ECU, Air Cleaner and all new clutching.

Its good but I wanted better so now I decided to break the seal and open up the motor. I pulled the head off yesterday and I am looking for a good shop to do a good porting job on the head. I talked to John at the ProShop a few months ago and he hadnt done too much with Polaris motors so I am checking with Q&E and Trinity today. I also orederd a new head gasket today. The cool thing on the head gasket is that its a 3 piece metal gasket riveted together so I can drill the rivets and pull the center gasket and lose .010 thickness and bump the compression a little.

More pics to come as I progress.

There is a guy on PRC selling a ported 700 head, 800, and DDP Cam. Trying to work a Deal, otherwise mine is boxed up ready to go get ported. I am hoping the guy is local so I can tell Kelly that I will be right back I am going to get some head real quick.

I dont have any pics, my camera died. It officially back together, broken in, EFI tuned and TPS calibrated. This thing runs like a beast now. With the Higher compression it has a real thump to it.

I can hit the 7000 RPM rev limit now. Stock is 5900. I have adjustable weights so I can bring the RPMs down and make it quicker on the street but it should work really good like this for the next big bear trip.

I checked this morning and no leaks.
