I going to check with Matt to see what the SSSS price will be. I think it's still out of my budget to do it all at once. I was going to build my system in steps.

Jeff, you can do the intercom which allows you to listen to an Ipod. Then you can add the radio (car to car) later - its a plug and play system.

still not cheap, but after driving around listening to music - I wondered how I went so long without it.

It is more than just listening to a ipod......you can have a norm conversation with Your pass at speeds without yelling also if you have a four seater to can talk to the peeps back there and blocks most of the exhaust sound ! BEST mod that I have done

LOL, true enough.

the car to car kicks butt though.
I know on some tight trails, it was nice having the lead car able to tell when on-comming traffic was ahead.

The car to car is more important to me right now. It seems like you need to start with the intercom first then add the car to car. am I right?

Not at all, go with the car to car and add other later. thing i like about the car to car is staying in touch with others in the group and knowing what's going on up front and behind you.

Do you use a standard headset like the intercom?

Yes. I have just the car to car and it is great to have for sure. I have both a save phace setup and a regular headset. Either setup is good depending on what riding conditions you're in. I don't want to hear my wife yelling at me to slow down so the intercom will have to wait. The car to car is the only way to go for group rides IMHO.
