Irwindale Drags

I was reading over at River Daves Place that Wicked Carts has started bringing out some of their gas golf carts to Irwindale for the 1/8th mile drags and they are cool with it as long as you have Seat Belts, helmets and Fire proof Jacket.

I am thinking about dragging out the Ranger for a night of Racing. I may have to use low range for the burnout but I am pretty sure I can take a golf cart. It looks like they are shooting for March 28th for the next race.

Randy (Owner Wicked Carts) has given me a ride in two of his golf carts..... Holy Crap! It scared me to death.

My Street Legal ELECTRIC Limo Cart will now do 55.... After investing close to $15k on it... LOL 55 in a cart feels like you are going 100+ in a car....

His carts are crazy fast.... With me and him in an electric cart he was able to hit the gas, leave lots of rubber and it felt like the front end would come off the ground....

Here one of my other toys... Fun for the whole family... Fun to cruise around town.... Good conversation piece.

Golf Carts have a weight advantage but I figure that it would be a blast to go down and throw down some runs at the drags in my Polaris. I went by LA SLeeve today and my new motor will be ready Tuesday so I am dieing to see what it will do. If nothing else it will be a good photo Op.

It would be a blast to have a RHino Addiction drags nite this summer.

A little side Cash action between racers would be fun.

I will be the first, Bruce- $$ says that your Rhino wont beat me to the 1/8th mile marker.

hey guys thanks for the comments.... on the 28th we ran an electric cart run 44mph spinning the wheels...it was a Summit Bracket series and thats why we could race on a sunday. this weekend coming up we are sand dragging it at elisnores new sand drag track... i am working with the guys at irwindale track for some dates in oct for a golf cart and side x side racing only.. we are working on our electric cart to run close to 75 mph when we are done... they are drag racing carts back east gas are running 9.20 @ 65 mph and electrics running under 8's @ 80 mph 1/8 mile....we were the first in the west cost to race down the track.... we are thinking of hitting the irwindale track this thursday to final dyle in the cart for the sand drags

ifs it a stock side x side it needs a 4 point belts, arm restsrants, and i have extras you can use the the night

anything modified needs a fire jacket, snell aproved helments, 5 point, engine shut off (kill ) swtich , steel braided fuel lines...

let me know what you think or if you want to race this thursday

Thanks Randy
